| Pin Bridge Halfling Bass | |
“The Halfling sounds... open. Free. Notes are independent events, unrestricted by other notes that occur simultaneously. Harmonies seem to work 'with' each other, not 'at' each other. The instrument seems to have a greater dynamic range because of the freedom of the sound. I find myself articulating things I used to just blow through.”
- Craig Whipps
If you're looking for a bass that features a more "Steel string" edginess and note fundamental, the Halfling Pin Bridge Bass is the one for you! It's bright and punchy and is more resistant to feedback. If you're a bluegrass player (or are just looking for a more traditional string tension feel) you will love the "dimensional voice-terous" quality of the Pin Bridge.

“It has a huge dynamic range and a nearly infinite tonal palette.”
- Chris McMahon
This Pin Bridge bass has an X braced top and is slightly lighter than the Vega model. It also features a bridge plate on the inside to allow the proper anchoring of the string ball ends. This bass has a B band pickup system, the "UST" model pickup and the B band endpin jack.
We also offer this instrument as a 5-String. Please contact us for pricing.
